I met this DYI Bride when I worked at Halls Atlanta Wholesale Florist. She had come in one day to look at flower options for her wedding. She knew her color scheme and that she loved the white Gerbera Daisies and she had the design down for the reception flowers and ceremony decor but she did not want to risk creating her own bouquet and the other wedding party flowers and so, she hired me to put them together.
I had my own event and wedding company many years ago and I love the planning and designing of events. I really enjoy the process of pulling together different elements or flowers to create amazing events. I especially loved the DYI brides that came in wanting to save money by doing their own flowers and had no idea where to begin. I was only to happy to share my years of experience. My specialty has always been to come up with the best most creative design that fits tastefully within a budget, whether I was dealing with flowers, interior design or building. She was kind enough to send me these photographs of the flowers which, turned out beautifully. Of course, when you are a beautiful bride, flowers are secondary.

Gerbera Daisies were the perfect focal flower for the bridal bouquet

The bridesmaid’s bouquets were a smaller version of the bride’s
For the boutonnieres, the bride wanted to use a Gerbera Daisy but the miniature Gerbera Daisies were not available that week in white. I ended up plucking the petals off of the larger variety used in the bouquets which looked even better than the original plan. They were beautiful, not too big, still rustic and coordinated nicely with the bouquets.
