Bringing New Life to an Old Beach House

Before Renovation Project

Before Renovation Project

Ben and Henderson Lee bought this little beach house a few years ago in Passagrille beach just south of the famous Don Cesar Hotel in beautiful St. Pete Beach, Florida.  The small block home had two bedrooms and a single bath and was in dire need of a total makeover.
The Lee’s had plans drawn up for a remodeling project to be completed in two stages, the first stage being to remodel the original block home and the second stage would be to add a two story addition that would include a downstairs sitting area and a new master suite upstairs.

Henderson hired me to help with the design and layout of the house, drawing elevations and choosing materials, cabinetry and colors. I worked with my friend Gail Levine of Gail Levine Interiors, to complete the project.  Gail is a master when it comes to choosing color, furnishings and decorating.  Put that together with my knowledge of the sticks and bricks of construction, building materials, cabinetry, tile, plumbing, etc. and we make quite the team.  Henderson Lee, the home owner,  is also very creative.  I always find that the best projects are always built on team work between the clients, architects, builders and designers.  On a project, you can never have too many sets of eyes.
